    Prison Bus Accident on I-37

    CORPUS CHRISTI - Authorities and paramedics are on the scene of a minor accident involving a prisoner transport bus on I-37/Up River Road heading northbound. It appears a car was rear-ended by a truck that was rear-ended by a bus. Several prisoners have complained of neck and back pain.

    CORPUS CHRISTI - Residents should prepare for some traffic delays this weekend as the HITS Triathlon Series is in town. The competition will take place along Shoreline Boulevard, Ocean Drive, Ennis Joslin and S. Padre Island Drive towards the Padre Island National Seashore.

    Rollover Crash on Rodd Field Road

    CORPUS CHRISTI - Emergency crews are working a major rollover accident on Rodd Field Road before the intersection with Yorktown Road.

    CORPUS CHRISTI - Police have blocked off Airline Road between S.P.I.D and McArdle after a utility pole was knocked over by a delivery truck.

    Packery Channel Bridge Repairs Begin

    CORPUS CHRISTI - Crews are now in the process of making repairs to the State Highway 361 bridge over Packery Channel. The span was damaged two months ago when a barge knocked off some chunks of concrete.

    The majority of the work is taking place underwater, but motorists need to be aware that one lane on the bridge will remain closed during the repair process.

    Truck Driver Blames Foggy Conditions, Car for Wreck

    JIM WELLS COUNTY - A big rig driver hauling a load of produce from the Rio Grande Valley to San Antonio flipped his truck on FM 624, three miles west of Highway 281 this morning.

    I-37 Speed Limit Increased to 75

    CORPUS CHRISTI - The speed limit on Interstate 37 north of Corpus Christi city limits is now 75 miles per hour.

    Texas Department of Transportation crews were putting signs in place this morning past Labonte Park.  Please slow down if you see a work crew.

    Interstate Speed Limit Increases to 75 Begin on Monday

    CORPUS CHRISTI - For all you long distance drivers there is good news on close to 1,500 miles of Texas Interstate Highways.

    On Monday, the Texas Department of Transportation will begin the process of replacing signs to reflect a new speed limit of 75 miles per hour.

    Slow Down on Slick Roads

    CORPUS CHRISTI - A driver was ticketed for losing control of her Jeep Cherokee on slick roads and causing a crash this morning.

    The Jeep blocked the flyover at Crosstown and I-37 when the driver went right into the wall.

    Police tell us the 47-year-old woman was checked out by paramedics and released.

    She was ticketed for speeding.
