CORPUS CHRISTI - A police officer used footprints in dew-covered grass to link two men to graffiti near an apartment complex in the 2000 block of Airline Road last night.
According to police, the officer had noticed the two men head in different directions when he saw them in the area. The officer parked his cruiser at the apartment complex and soon noticed fresh red spray paint on an electrical box.
The officer also noticed two men in a Dodge pickup parked nearby. The passenger matched the description of one of the men seen running so the officer took a closer look.
He noticed a can of spray paint in a cup holder and two more cans in the back seat. The officer reported it was then that he noticed the footprints from the truck to the tagged electrical box.
Rodolfo Molina, 17, was also found to have red spray paint on his hands. The officer also found marijuana in the truck.
Molina and Robert Medina, 21, are both charged with graffiti. Police did not mention if either of the men are charged with possession of marijuana.
