Prison Bus Accident on I-37

Prison Bus Involved in I-37 Crash

CORPUS CHRISTI - Authorities and paramedics are on the scene of a minor accident involving a prisoner transport bus on I-37/Up River Road heading northbound. It appears a car was rear-ended by a truck that was rear-ended by a bus. Several prisoners have complained of neck and back pain.

No major injuries reported. More officers are being called to the scene as medics will have to check each prisoner for possible injuries.

Officials are calling for another bus to be brought in from Beeville to transport the prisoners. The bus involved in the accident sustained significant radiator damage.
