WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Internal Revenue Service is gearing up for the onslaught of tax returns that will come their way.
The IRS says it is expecting more than 144 million individual tax returns to be filed this year ... that's one reason they're encouraging taxpayers to e-file.
We all get two extra days to send in our forms, whether online or by mail this year.
This year's deadline is April 17th because the 15th falls on a Sunday, and the 16th is a local Washington, D.C. holiday.
IRS forms and information are available online, just click here.
