CORPUS CHRISTI - Officers with the anti-graffiti and gang units made a bust at a home in the 4100 block of Carlton last night. The police department had received several complaints from neighbors about heavy traffic associated with the home.
During a search of the home, officers say they confiscated drugs, handguns, an assault rifle, cash and graffiti paraphernalia.
Police say getting taggers off the streets is just as important as getting the drugs.
"We can work all day long to take narcotics off the street and there's and a lot of time somebody is gonna take their place, but when but when you can target the major graffiti offenders in the city then even if it's a lesser amount of dope then end result is actually better because we've actually addressed a major concern in the city for the residents," said Lt. David Blackmon.
Blackmon also says police believe a large portion of the graffiti in town is coming people at the home.
Richard Trevino, 22, may face federal charges due to the narcotics and weapons.
Investigators are looking into what charges to possibly file against everyone else who was inside the home at the time.
