City To Offer A Spring 2012 'Micro-Kickball' Youth League (Registration Ends Feb. 10)

CORPUS CHRISTI - The City of Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department will be offering a Spring 2012 Micro-Kickball Co-ed Youth League for ages 4-6 at Lindale Recreation Center and Oso Recreation Center. This is a recreational league for which keeping score is not of great importance. The main objective of this league is for the young children to have fun and learn the basic concepts of kickball. It is a 6-week program that is specially designed with a modified playing field and rules. Children will have the opportunity to increase their skills in kicking, throwing, passing, catching, and eye-hand coordination. Games will be played every Saturday from March 3-April 7, 2012. All players registered will be entered into a draft. Cost is $38 per player.
Registration will be offered now through February 10, 2012 from 3pm-7pm at both recreation centers. A copy of a birth certificate is required at the time of registration to show proof of eligibility for this league. Volunteer coaches and referees are needed.
