CORPUS CHRISTI - The following are City construction improvement projects that have temporary traffic control plans implemented:
1. Water Street: Southbound traffic on Water Street reduced to one lane at the intersection of Williams Street.
2. Bear Lane: Traffic closed to through traffic from Futures Drive to Navigation Boulevard with detours at both Futures Drive and Navigation Boulevard.
3. Airline Road: Airline Road closed from Saratoga Boulevard to Vineyard Drive. Northbound traffic detour thorough La Bianca Drive to Cimarron Boulevard; or northbound traffic detour on Brooke Road to Rodd Field Road.
4. Staples Street (Barracuda Drive to Gollihar Road): Northbound traffic on Staples Street traffic is shifted onto the southbound lanes and where traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction from Everhart Road to Auto town Drive.
5. County Roads 52 & 69 (FM 624 to US 77): Traffic on County Road 52 is closed to through traffic from US 77 to County Road 69.
6. Kostoryz Road (Phase 1 & II): Northbound Kostoryz Road traffic is shifted onto the southbound lanes from Foley Street to Gollihar Road; and from Gollihar Road to Brawner Parkway where traffic is reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction.
7. Up River Road Rand Morgan to IH 37 (Inside City Limits): Up River Road closed to through traffic from Cantwell Drive to the IH-37 Access Road.
8. Buddy Lawrence Drive: traffic on Buddy Lawrence is closed to through traffic from IH-37 to Antelope Street. In addition, westbound traffic on Buddy Lawrence Drive is closed to traffic between Antelope Street and Nueces Bay Boulevard. while the eastbound traffic on Buddy Lawrence is open from Nueces Bay Boulevard to Antelope Street.
9. Yorktown Boulevard: eastbound and westbound traffic on Yorktown Boulevard from Staples Street to Cimarron Boulevard is reduced to one lane of traffic.
10. Leopard Street: Leopard Street from SH 286 Cross town to N. Staples St. eastbound and westbound traffic are periodically reduced to one lane.
11. Ayers Street: Westbound Ayers Street traffic from Santa Fe Street to Staples Street is reduced to one lane of traffic.
12. Santa Fe: Southbound Santa Fe Street is reduced to one lane of traffic through the Hancock intersection.
13. Ayers Street: Westbound Ayers Street traffic from Seventh Street to the Six Points intersection is reduce to one lane of traffic.
Traffic control devices will guide traffic through the construction site. Motorists should expect delays in this area and should seek alternate routes to by-pass this area if possible. Motorists are advised to observe all construction warning signs and barricading for their safety and that of construction crews.
