Brown Named LSC Pitcher of the Week

RICHARDSON, TEXAS - Texas A&M-Kingsville senior Lindsey Brown (Spring/Spring HS) was named the Lone Star Conference Pitcher of the Week on Wednesday in the first conference release of the season.

Brown got the season off to a fabulous start in the circle for the Javelinas going 3-0 with a 0.50 earned run average. She opened the season with a five-inning shutout against Texas-Permian Basin. On the same day she came back and pitched two scoreless inning of relief to earn a win over Southeastern Oklahoma. On Tuesday, she started the opening game of a doubleheader at A&M-International and picked up a complete game victory. She scattered seven hits and two walks while allowing one earned run and striking out four.

The Javelinas and Brown are back in action on Friday against Southeastern Oklahoma at 1 p.m. at Hubert Field.
