Airline Road Shut Down Due to Downed Power Lines

CORPUS CHRISTI - Police have blocked off Airline Road between S.P.I.D and McArdle after a utility pole was knocked over by a delivery truck.

The pole carrying power lines over Airline Road was heavily damage by a truck making a turn to deliver products to a restaurant.

AEP crews estimate it could take four hours to replace the pole. At this time, 498 people are without power in the 78412 area as a result.

Police advise drivers avoid travelling to Airline Road and exiting SPID at that intersection.
