Taft Athletic Trainer Resigns

TAFT - Officials with Taft ISD accepted the resignation of Athletic Trainer Salvador Diaz at last night's school board meeting.
Earlier in the month, a 15-Year old Taft student accused Diaz of inappropriate behavior with her, and he was put on leave.
At this time, the school has made no decision about hiring a new trainer to fill the now vacant position.

Chancellor Drug Bust Hearing

CORPUS CHRISTI - On May 13, 2011 a pot bust resulted in the arrest of Bruce Talamantes after officers found $22,000 worth of marijuana growing inside a warehouse on Chancellor Row.

Local Cab Driver Helps Catch Robber

CORPUS CHRISTI - John Gillespie,28, was arrested overnight after a local taxi driver told police he saw him rob the Stripes Store on Baldwin near Morgan.
The taxi driver called police and even followed Gillespie who took off after the robbery.

Business Owners Voice Opposition to Street User Fee

Multi-Agency Gang Arrest Nets Weapons, Drugs, Cash
