    Power Outage Leaves Campus in the Dark

    CORPUS CHRISTI - A power outage this afternoon caused fourteen hundred people around the city to lose powe.

    Officials say it was caused by an underground cable that malfunctioned at Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Most of the power was back on by 2:00 p.m.

    Grass Fire Along Highway 359

    MATHIS - A large grass fire on Highway 359 south of Mathis kept fire crews busy this afternoon. At least 20 acres of brush were scorched, but the fire is about 50 percent contained at this time.

    Assault Charge Dismissed Against Murdered Woman's Boyfriend

    CORPUS CHRISTI - Assault charges were dropped today against Leslie Moul, the boyfriend of a woman who was murdered last year.

    Home Invasion Suspects Sentenced

    CORPUS CHRISTI - Two men convicted of beating up a man inside his Corpus Christi home are headed to prison.

    A jury sentenced Raymond Broussard to 8 years in prison and Ricky Perales to 16 years.

    Both attacked the man inside his home off Leopard and I-37 in September 2011.

    The suspects stole $70 from the victim.
