CORPUS CHRISTI - A cab driver is being credited with stopping a convenience store robber and holding him until police arrived. According to police, the cab driver saw John Gillespie, 28, as he held up the Stripes at Baldwin and Morgan.
The cab driver followed Gillespie as he drove away from the scene. Once he stopped at a nearby stop light, the cab driver told Gillespie to get out of his car.
Gillespie is charged with aggravated robbery.

CORPUS CHRISTI -- Police arrested a 43-year old man they say stabbed another man after a fight over carpet cleaner.
Anthony Guajardo is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

CORPUS CHRISTI -- Police say a fight over carpet cleaner led to one man being stabbed this afternoon around 2:30.
When officers arrived, the 49-year old victim was standing outside his home in the 900 Block of Susan Drive.

CORPUS CHRISTI - A father convicted of injury to a child for throwing his 5-month-old out of a car is now headed to prison for five years. Police say he threw the child car seat out of the vehicle, with the child still in it, during an argument with his common law wife last year.
